About Jim
Jim Dunnam was born and raised in Waco, Texas, and is a life-long resident of Central Texas. At 46 years of age he has been married to his wife, Michelle, for 22 years, and they have three children--Rachel (13), Mason (15), and Lauren (18). Jim and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church of Waco.

Jim is a product of Waco public schools, and he earned business and law degrees from Baylor University. Since 1987, Jim has practiced law in Waco at Dunnam & Dunnam and was named the 2001 Baylor University Young Lawyer of the Year.

Jim was elected to District 57 of the Texas House of Representatives in November of 1996. At that time, District 57 included part of McLennan County. Since 2001, District 57 has been composed of part of McLennan County, and all of Falls, Leon, Madison, and Robertson counties. Read more

About Garnet
Garnet Coleman has served the people of District 147 in the Texas House of Representatives continuously since 1991. Throughout his years of service, Rep. Coleman has earned a reputation as a diligent leader in the areas of health care, economic development and education.

Representative Coleman has served as the Chair of the Legislative Study Group, a non-partisan house caucus dedicated to the development of sound public policy on behalf of all Texas families, since 2003 when he was elected to the position by more than 40 of his colleagues. In addition, Rep. Coleman has the honor of being a past chairman of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus. As Chairman, Rep. Coleman coordinated efforts among members of the Caucus to help preserve the Top Ten Percent Rule, which assists historically-underrepresented students in gaining admission to Texas' top institutions of higher learning.

About Pete
Pete P. Gallego, 46, is a member of the Texas House of Representatives from District 74, which includes Brewster, Culberson, Edwards, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Loving, Pecos, Presidio, Reeves, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, and Ward counties. The 74th House district is the largest House district and the largest Texas U.S.-Mexico border district stretching nearly 39,000 square miles and containing over half of the Texas/Mexico border.

Elected in 1990, Representative Gallego is the first Hispanic to represent this vast border district. In 1991, he became the first freshman member and the first ethnic minority member ever elected as chair of the House Democratic Caucus, a post he held until January of 2001. In January of 2001, Representative Gallego was unanimously elected by his colleagues to serve as chair of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus (MALC), a group of 43 House members who are of Mexican-American descent or who serve a significant Mexican-American constituency. Representative Gallego served as MALC Chair for 8 years, recently handing over the Chairmanship.  Now in his tenth term, Representative Gallego is the newly appointed Chair of the Select Committee on Government Efficiency and Accountability, while also serving as Chair of the Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence  He also currently serves as a member of the Committees on General Investigating and State Affairs.
